Time: 09:05 – 09:45
This week Grafikens Hus participates in Folk och Kultur! In this seminar, we will introduce Samlande tankar/Collecting Thoughts in further detail and be in conversation with Niklas Östholm and Alexandra Fredriksson about printmaking, printmaking collections and the notion of ’art for all’.
This seminar occurs under Samlande tankar/Collecting Thoughts, a 3 year-long project initiated by Grafikens Hus with support from Kulturrådet. The seminar will further introduce Samlande tankar/Collecting Thoughts, a project through which Grafikens Hus investigates and formulates a method for collecting with norm-critical perspectives and printmaking at its foundations.
Following the presentation on Samlande tankar/Collecting Thoughts, we embark on a conversation with two Konstfrämjandet offices. In our conversation, we approach printmaking, printmaking collections today and the notion of ’art for all’.
Discussants:
Mmabatho Thobejane, Grafikens Hus, Samlande tankar/Collecting Thoughts Processleader and Curator
Niklas Östholm, Folkrörelsernas konstfrämjande, Curator
Alexandra Fredriksson, Konstfrämjandet Skåne, Project Leader
The conversation will be in English.

Hello! My name is Mmabatho Thobejane. I am an independent curator, with a practice that centres black and decolonial feminisms. I am also the process leader and curator for Samlande tankar/Collecting Thoughts, a three-year project undertaken by Grafikens Hus and supported by Kulturrådet. This monthly letter documents the project from my perspective and is one of the ways you, who are interested in the project, can follow its process.
